Introduction
A well-established and market-leading company in the fashionable corporate apparel sector, employing approximately 520 staff, is seeking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team. The CFO will report directly to the Chairman / CEO and will play a central role in guiding the company's financial strategy, strengthening financial governance, and supporting the continued growth and operational excellence of the business.
Key Requirements
- CA(SA) qualification essential
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior financial leadership role (CFO, Finance Director, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience managing the full finance function within a medium to large operational business
- Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate financial insight into actionable business decisions
- Experience working alongside and contributing to a high-performing executive leadership team
Role Overview
The CFO will be responsible for providing financial leadership, discipline, and strategic insight across the organisation. The role requires a balance between hands-on operational oversight and strategic partnership with the executive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the finance function, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the Chairman / CEO and executive leadership team
- Strengthen financial controls, governance, and risk management frameworks
- Support commercial decision-making, capital allocation, and growth initiatives
- Drive improved financial visibility, analytics, and performance measurement across the organisation
- Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and external advisors
Leadership Context
The CFO will work closely with a leadership team of seven executives, helping to align financial strategy with operational priorities across the business.
This role requires a commercially minded finance leader who can operate both as a strategic advisor and operational partner, supporting a dynamic business in a competitive sector.
Compensation
A market-related and competitive executive remuneration package will be offered, commensurate with experience and the seniority of the role.
